This barred owl is sporting some ruffled feathers due to missing its prey along the forest floor. These large regal owls tend to live in low land areas and can easily overlap Great Horned Owls' habitat as well.  Their distincitive call sets them apart from any other bird in the northern forests. This piece is mounted on a 8x10" canvas and finished with Dorland's wax to preserve the painting. It is framed in a  hand made floating frame that is hang ready. Painting is 10x8", overall piece measures 11x9".
